I am currently trying to trace my great aunt Mary Hickey, who we know was living
in Chiswick in the 1970s. Also trying to find relations of Sis Walsh, sister of my maternal grandfather James Walsh of Ballinabarney, who married a Wes Skinner
and emigrated to Victoria Park, Australia
Remarkably, I have just received this picture of my great aunt, Mary Hickey, which was sent to me by a Pat Mahon of Dublin. Pat says it was taken in Chiswick in 1951, during one of the many holidays they spent there. The house is 4 Dukes Avenue, the home of Ethel and Charlie Hanson. Pat says my great aunt was living at 46 Ainsdale Avenue, Chiswick at the time. Ethel and my Great Aunt Mary were best friends. The pictures shows (from left) Mary Hickey, Pat Mahon, Ethel Hanson, and Ethel’s son Brian.

These two very old photographs were given to by my grandmother. They had been printed on giant cards and had faded over the years.  At some point somone has taken a charcoal pencil to them to add in the fast dissappearing detail.
I believe they are of her father and mother, James Hickey and Kate Hayden.
